I love Thursdays.

I enjoy my Thursday's more than my Fridays. Mainly because I only teach 2.5 hours on Thursday's so I got a lot of spare time. But also because Thursday night is flat dinner night up at Te Whare - that being Ali, Megan and Westie - and although I don't live there, I am honorary flattie every Thursday night. It equates to yummy food and red wine. And AMAZING company.

Thursdays in Korea are one thing I will miss.

I am beginning to think I have been here for too long however.
1 - I will happily eat rice for breakfast.
2 - I now fall asleep on the bus and subway ALL THE TIME. Yesterday I actually woke myself up on the subway (in rush hour) because I gave out a massive twitch. I did the quick scan around to see if anyone saw... which of course is yes. Which Korean isn't watching the foreigner on the subway?
3 - I now have 8 cavities. My mouth which was once a dental dream is now displaying flashes of silver and grey. I don't look like the Korean kids who have entire silver teeth, but seriously, 8 cavities. ugh.

Went to Shanghai in the weekend for my last touch tournament in Asia. Went with R-Seouls, our locally selected team. Had a ball! The stadium was amazing and we made it through to the finals. Only to get beaten by a Kiwi Invitational Team, mainly made up of NZ Reps. I got stepped madly by a chick, but I figure it's allowed considering who she really plays for. And that she was able to step the boys as well. ahahaha. Caught up with Rat and Kate which was great. Love those two. Love Shanghai. It's got such a lovely vibe to it. It has so many more influences to help shape its character and presence. It's fantastic.

Well, I got about 30 minutes till I have to leave for school. I just finished Fiona's birthday present. Yeah, its really late, but she leaves on Monday so I'm combining it to be a good-bye present. Even if I did make the mother of all fck-ups on it. I'll post a photo and give an explanation later. She still doesn't know what it is so will wait until after I give it too her.
